The excitement, spectacle and buzz of the RHS Chelsea 2022 will long be remembered – what a joy it was to return to the grounds of The Royal Hospital in Chelsea in May for the first time in over two years! This years gardens and exhibits were more beautiful than ever, with the RHS, exhibitors and show visitors embracing the opportunity to celebrate horticulture to the max, after so much time away from the hallowed showground at every flower filled turn.
In a vintage year, it was an absolute delight to be honoured, once again, with a much coveted five star award for our design for the Gaze Burvill trade stand, which celebrated our relationship with nature, the importance of the provenance of materials and the idea of entertaining at home in a space that used a generous palette of plants.
The Chelsea display centred around the themes ‘Hampshire Wild’ and ‘Rural Refined’ which corresponded to the two distinct areas of the trade stand, and we relished every moment in creating it.
So many people must be thanked for their contribution to our award, not least Gaze Burvill for inviting us to represent them. Lamb and Newt for their beautiful decorative table setting, Wildstone Floral for their nature inspired floral arrangements. Wolf Grill and Delivita Pizza Ovens. Artisans of Devizes for their beautiful stone, and Harrod Horticultural for their pergolas. Landform Consultants for building the exhibit, and Hortus Loci for supplying all our plants.
And of course the exemplary planting team for all their hard work – Fei Su, Gemma Summerfield, Isla Rae-Smith. Kate Hanrahan. Mary Guinness, Mike Palmer, Penny Walker, Polly Nocton, Siobahn Richardson, Sonya Bradley, Stephanie Fairs, Tamsin Westhorpe and Yunhui Luk.
